Your friends, spouse, best friend and even your colleagues are not God, so stop expecting them to do what only God can do. Expecting these people to fulfil your every need is setting yourself up for frustration as there are needs we have as humans that only God can satisfy.

Now is an excellent time to change your expectations, so your frustrations resulting from human failures do not lead you to more conflict and quarrelling in your relationships. Trusting God is simply believing that He loves you and knowing He’s good, He has the power to help you, and He wants to help you.

Our friends and families do not always show up consistently throughout the course of our lives. However, God our  Father is always consistent. Because He is God, He knows everything there is to know. Nothing escapes His knowledge. He knows everything there is to know about you. He knows your thoughts, your heart, your ambitions, your dreams, etc. Rather than put unnecessary pressure on others for needs they can’t meet, look up to God and fully trust God.
