Welcome back to my blog and I am so happy you come back each week. I love hearing from you so please write back to me through the contact form, the comment section below or social media.  I hope you are doing well? Don’t just say fine and move on but please, do a real check-in with yourself. Once that is done and you are fully satisfied with your date with yourself, let’s continue with today’s topic.

Love has become so romanticized that society paints different pictures for us of what it is and not what it should be. Every product comes with a manual that helps us navigate the full functionality of the product. If you don’t read this manual, there is no way you can explore all it has to offer. The same thing can be said about love. Love has a grand design by a designer that is a guide himself/herself.

Until you have a relationship with God and see love as God sees love you will always fall short of love in this world. God’s design for love is first a relationship between you and God, then between you and yourself and finally between you and others because you can never give what you don’t have.

“4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts always hopes, and always perseveres. 8 Love never fails…”

I Corinthians 13:4-8.

The above is what love is and to fully show that to others, you must first have it with the chief designer of love. To get into a relationship with him, all you need is to believe in the redemptive work of the cross.
