Hear me well, there is nothing wrong with being so focused on heaven however, you have been placed here on earth on assignment to be the answer to people’s cry. Don’t become heavenly minded that you forget to contribute to the earth you have been placed in and become earthly useless. Christians have for so long relegated their duty to contribute to development by leaving everything to prayers. Prayers are good but then you must add in the work. Even Jesus Christ prayed but then went to work. Prayer alone will change nothing because God will not come down to do what He created you and placed you here on earth to do. Get to work and become earthly useful as much as you are heavenly focused.
In all honesty though, if we as Christian’s were truly and fully heavenly focused with no hypocrisy, the world – especially Nigeria – would be a better place. Be a believer not just by mouth, act on The Word and start unleashing your potential here on earth even as we await Christ to return.
